its not about what happen in the past, we hold ourselfs back because what we couldnt do in 1997 or 2001. but we have to come to the understanding that anything can be done an only we determine that. -Amari Johnson- Interview from -5/1/2013-
Amari Johnson Explains that he will do what ever it takes in order to get his new state of the arts high school running on its legs. "of course it will be a charter and students will be required to test in order to get in" says Amari Johnson.
interviewer: how do you think you're book will impact you're students?
Amari j: my book will impact them by allowing them to see where the tunnels are and making sure they know they have choices in life. I want to make a huge impact on this world in many ways as possible with this book and I'm great in Relations
interviewer: do you think you're school is going to be successful?
Amari j: honestly? no, i know for a fact that my school will be successful. there's no guessing when it comes to me, my staff and my supporters decisions.
interviwer: ooh my son needs a high school like that, (laughs). so tell me, you're in high school you're self and you're trying to create you're own high school. don't you think you're moving a little bit too fast?
Amari j: (laughs) its funny that you say that, I actually think I'm moving too slow. there's a deadline for everything i do, and my dead lines keeps me together, there should be no reason why i cant build a high school my self.
interviewer: OK, I'm a down to earth person so what ever i say comes from honesty OK? but if i was you're parent i don't think i would even attempt to go through with this idea of you'rs. i would of course be supportive of my children but that's a big deal.
Amari j: and i understand that, please believe me when i say that my dad couldn't believe that this creating a school thing wasn't a phase. i was serious, when i told him the first day he said "OK then. do it" (laughs) so i got started and got plenty done. i went back to my dad told him about the success concerning the schools. then he realized that i was serious.
interviewer: wow and look where you are now! congratulations Mr. Johnson on you're project on creating a great charter high school.
Amari J: Thank you for having me! I plan on having a huge success and getting out there in 2014 with PR and The school.
